Product Overview:
Ovipast Plus is used for the active immunization of sheep to help control pasteurellosis caused by Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella trehalosi. The vaccine is effective in managing both pneumonic pasteurellosis in sheep of all ages, starting from a minimum age of 3 weeks, and systemic pasteurellosis in weaned, fattening, and breeding sheep.
Additionally, Ovipast Plus can be administered to pregnant ewes to help control pasteurellosis in their lambs. It is important that lambs receive sufficient immune colostrum from their mothers within the first 1-2 days of life to benefit from this vaccination.

Dosage & Administration:

    • Injection Site: Administer the vaccine subcutaneously on the lateral side of the upper neck.
    • Primary Vaccination: For sheep that have not previously received Ovipast Plus, administer two doses of 2 ml each, with the doses spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
    • Booster Vaccination: After the initial vaccination, booster doses should be given at intervals of no more than 12 months.
    • Breeding Ewes: For adult breeding ewes, administer the annual booster during the pre-lambing period, ideally 4-6 weeks before lambing, to help control pasteurellosis in their lambs.
    • High-Incidence Areas: On farms where pasteurellosis is frequently encountered, a supplementary booster may be necessary 2-3 weeks before expected seasonal outbreaks.
