Onset of Immunity:

• • Passive Protection: Immunity begins as soon as the calves start receiving colostrum from vaccinated cows, providing immediate protection against the targeted pathogens.

Duration of Immunity:

• • Artificially Fed Calves: For calves fed with pooled colostrum, the protection lasts until the colostrum feeding period ends.
  • Naturally Suckled Calves: In calves that suckle naturally, protection against rotavirus is maintained for at least 7 days, while protection against coronavirus lasts for at least 14 days.

Dosage & Administration:

• • Dosage: Administer 2 ml of the vaccine via intramuscular injection.
  • Injection Site: The recommended injection site is the side of the neck.
  • Timing: A single dose should be administered during each pregnancy, between 12 and 3 weeks before the expected calving date.

Colostrum Feeding Recommendations:

• • Essential for Protection: Effective protection of calves relies on the presence of colostrum antibodies in the gut during the first 2-3 weeks of life. To maximize the vaccine’s efficacy, ensure that calves receive adequate colostrum during this period.
  • Timing of Colostrum Intake: All calves should receive sufficient colostrum from their dams within the first 6 hours after birth. Suckled calves will naturally continue to receive the necessary colostrum by nursing from vaccinated cows.

Vial Sizes:

• • Available in 10 ml and 40 ml vials, the vaccine is suitable for varying herd sizes and vaccination needs.
